Hey everyone! I promised a giveaway and I’ve teamed up with Atlanta Social Season Magazine to get you some pretty amazing prizes!
One is the extremely coveted Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette – if you haven’t gotten one, you’ll definitely want to enter – these babies go fast!
Second is the Clarisonic Opal – a great tool to help the eye area – to remove puffiness, reduce wrinkles, etc. And there’s no catch. You just have to enter to win, because you can’t win if you don’t play! Here’s the link to check it out: Giveaway!
I wish you all the best of luck and can’t wait to announce the winners soon! Particpants must be in the US.
I love a good lip gloss, don’t you? But I hate the overly sticky feeling of many and the way my hair gets caught in my lips when the wind blows. Yuck.
I recently got to try the new lip glosses from the Urban Decay Naked line. I was pretty excited!
First, they are so so pretty! All of the colors are in the neutral/naked range – so they are light and perfect for spring. I tried a few and personally, some were a little too light for me – I preferred those with a tiny bit more color – something closer to my natural lip color. Rule34 and Beso fit the bill nicely. Naked is pretty, but just too nude for me.
Second – They smell nice. I’m generally off put by lip products that have funky and/or a chemical smell. Naked glosses smell fresh, with a hint of mint. But nothing so strong it’s all you can smell. It’s just a nice, clean fresh scent.
Third – They’re not overly sticky. This is huge. Glosses appeal to me (and maybe you) because they’re easy to apply, give some color and moisturize. But sometimes that moisture comes with stickiness. No thanks. The Naked glosses feel slick when applied – a definite selling point.
Fourth – The applicator is great. It’s a paddle applicator and it picks up just the right amount of product so you don’t have to double or triple dip to get the right amount of gloss.
Want to get yours? Visit Urban Decay and pick a few up. They’re $20 each and come in nine nude shades.
Are you all as excited as I am?

|24/7 set in Electric
I know you know what I’m talking about. You find the perfectly shaded liner, it glides on like silk and makes your eyes look amazing – and then real life happens and by the end of the day you look like a sad raccoon. No more sad raccoon faces!
Meet Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide On Eye-Pencils. They come in sets of two, which at $15 is a great deal, but it’s Holiday time, so they’re offering sets of 24/7 liner in two sets of 5! You can pick either the electric set (which has some pretty funky colors included) or the Naked set, which contains all your basic neutrals. Never will you want for another waterproof liner.
|24/7 set in Naked
I myself, chose the Naked set, which includes all the shades I’ll ever need to create any smokey look I might ever want. And at $32, it’s like you’re getting one for free!
You can pick these up at www.urbandecay.com now until they’re sold out.
With Spring nipping at my heels (OK, so it’s more like Spring deadlines, rather than Spring itself) I am thinking all about makeup trends and spring colors.
As Pantone announced the color of the year as Honeysuckle (a pretty spring pink), it seems fitting to create an entire beauty story full of pretty pinks.
I’m loving the Cream Blushes that so many lines have launched. Not only is cream blush easy to apply, it looks natural and is easy to customize to create the most beautiful blush.
Smashbox has a Cream Cheek Duo which is genius as it pairs two complementary shades side by side in order to make customization easy and painless. For $26 you get two shades that blend seamlessly together. Yes!
Also, Urban Decay has a line of Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tints that you can wear bare or with foundation – guaranteed to get you blushing in no time. Again, these tints are easy to apply, look natural and have good for you ingredients like vitamins A, C and E. Not too shabby!
Do you love a smoky eye as much as I do? Have you been searching for some awesome neutral colors to change up your look without straying too far from your regular colors? Lucky for you, I have too – and I’ve found the answer for us all!
Urban Decay’s NAKED palette is packed with 12 different shadows, ranging from shimmering beiges to deep, dark charcoal and gunmetal. Gorge!
While this alone would be fabulous, they don’t stop there. Also included in the palette is an eyeshadow primer potion (so that gorgeous color doesn’t go anywhere!) and a perfectly shaped eyeshadow brush, so you don’t even have to worry about what to apply them with. With a mirror included in the lid, could you really need anything more to create an amazing eye?
